90210-OMG!

THE CW’s planned remake of “Beverly Hills, 90210″ is currently heating up with casting sheets making the rounds in Hollywood, and Tori Spelling telling anyone who’ll listen that she wants to appear in the new series.

But one pressing problem remains. Is there any way the new show could ever live up to the genius of the original?

With episodes that tackled every classic teen issue, from

getting drunk at the prom to being stalked by your psychopathic roommate from rehab, the Fox series defined a generation of narcissistic, WASP-y kids who liked to daydream about having a higher income level and living in SoCal.

In honor of the new show, we decided to figure out where the characters might be in 2008 – while also checking in with their real-life counterparts.

* Kelly (Jennie Garth)

Where the actor is: Had a four-year run in “What I Like About You.”

Where Kelly is: Recently lost her lifelong battle with diet pills, being shot at LAX and burned in rave fires. Her hair looks amazing.

The truth shall indeed set the love-torn free

THE HOT YOUNG Thing is devastated.

After spending a romantic weekend with a potential Mr. Perfect in Las Vegas, this busty bombshell fell hard for the young real-estate mogul she described as being so “smooth he could sell a ketchup popsicle to a girl in white gloves.”

“He’s busy,” she figured, when the phone didn’t ring after their trip.

“He’s inconsiderate,” she decided, when a week passed.

“He’s (unsuitable for a family newspaper),” she spat, when three weeks came and quickly went.

But then, she had a moment of inspiration. That’s when she wrote The E-mail.

"CONGRATULATIONS," the card attached to a gorgeous display of red, pink and yellow roses reads.

“You’re going to Jamaica!”

Is it for me?

Dude, I wish.
